First Trip to Palmyra

Last weekend Bonnie and I went to Palmyra, NY with our ward, to visit the church historical sites and see the Hill Cumorah Pageant. The ride up and back was quite long... 5-6 hours each way on a bus. We had a lot of fun while we there. The pageant was really good and I really liked seeing all the historical sites too. I took a lot of pictures too, so here you go.

These are from the printing place where the Book of Mormon was first published.

This is the house where the Smith family lived when they first moved to Palmyra, and the surrounding fields.

The Palmyra Temple, right across the street from the Smith home and the Sacred Grove.

The Smith family's larger house that was built later, along with a garden and barn.

Bonnie and I were messing around here...
Haha she looks like she's waiting for a bus!

The Sacred Grove.

The very end of the pathways in the Sacred Grove.

We visited the Palmyra Temple right before we left on Sunday morning.

City of Brotherly Love

Success! I was finally able to load all the pictures from Philadelphia, so now everyone can see them. Philadelphia was so much fun!! I love that we were able to stay with Philly and Naomi! They are both so nice and fun to be around. We were finally able to see their baby boy too, who is just adorable! Bonnie and I had so much fun, that we are already planning our next trip back there, and other trips with Philly and Naomi. And now here are the pictures.

After an extremely long day of trains and busses, we finally made it!!

My first time seeing the Liberty Bell!

 Benjamin Franklin's grave

 Philly Cheesesteak! SO good!!
The Rocky Statue!

The Philadelphia Museum of Art...and the Rocky steps.

Celebrate, we made it to the top!

We also went to the Edgar Allen Poe museum, but I'm afraid I don't have pictures. I know, shame on me.. (I'm hanging my head)

Mystical Places and Food

I'm afraid I'm a bit behind in my blogging.. Bonnie and I went to Philadelphia a few weeks ago, but I am having trouble loading the pictures from that trip, so I'll have to blog about it later. This last weekend Bonnie and went to Mystic, CT which is a really cute little sea town. I don't know if any of you have ever seen the 1988 movie called Mystic Pizza staring Julia Roberts, but it was set in this town at the restaurant called Mystic Pizza. So, of course Bonnie and I had to go try the pizza here, and let me just say that was some of the best pizza I've ever had! The sauce was especially amazing, not too tomato-y. We later drove around a town called Old Saybrook and it was so pretty! The houses were amazing and the views were simply gorgeous! I loved it there. Here are a few pictures we took while we were there.

Our pizza from Mystic Pizza. It was so delicious!!

 Jellyfish in Mystic

Bonnie and I at the docks where we saw the jellyfish.

Haha.. This is the giant teddy bear outside a toy store in Olde Mystick Town.

These are ones of us messing around in Old Saybrook. And yes, you can laugh at us..

A lighthouse, also in Old Saybrook.

A beautiful sunset near the houses we were looking at.
