...I've lost my marbles. I think I must have, because I don't know if I've ever felt so lost and confused before. I am once again unemployed and I think I am having so much trouble finding another job, because I just don't know what it is I want to do. I'm not sorry I quit my last job. I know it was the right thing to do. The place I was at was not a good environment and I wasn't happy there. Right before I left I found a quote that really opened my eyes to how bad things really were there. I shared it with my friend TeAnna who is still working there and it really helped her too, so I hope she can find a new job soon and get out too. Now I've applied to a lot of different places, and I've had one interview, but so far there's been nothing. I've always wanted to work with books, in a editing or publishing capacity, but I know I don't have enough experience to actually be hired in a job like that. Now that I am out of school I don't know how to go about getting that experience. Last weekend I went to a writing conference called 'Write Here in Ephraim' at Snow College. They had a lot of writers and illustrators from Utah, coming to talk about ways to write, get published, and market your books. I had a lot of fun and I learned so much! It really inspired me to write more than anything has before. I've always wanted to write, but never thought I could, because I didn't know where to start. Now I feel like its something I could actually accomplish. So, that is my new/old goal. To write. Here I go again!

2012 and Still Wandering
Here it is January 2012. It always surprises me how fast the time flies. I wish I had more to blog about, but unfortunately not much has been happening. Being back in Utah has been great, but I don't have as much opportunity for travel, so there really hasn't been anything interesting going on. On a happier note, I have been teaching myself how to crochet. I'll post pictures of the finished products as soon as I finish them. I have a lot of New Year's Resolutions that I plan to do this year. I'll keep you posted as I start and/or finish them. I'm trying not to get too ahead of myself. Sorry this is such a boring post.. I'll work on making the next one a lot more interesting.

Merry Christmas!
Time to bring a little holiday cheer. Things have been a bit rough for me since I moved home. Nothing major, I'm just frustrated at not being able to get a job. Last week however, I got to go to Connecticut to visit Caskey and watch her grapple in the COC (She was awesome, by the way). One night we went into the city to see the tree at Rockefeller Center and walk around. It was a lot of fun! It was my first time in New York during the Christmas season. I loved it, so here are some of the pictures I took while there. I hope it helps to put you all in a holiday mood!

One Last Stop. Then Home.
Well, here it is October 2011 and I am once again living in Utah. And I couldn't be happier about it! Being a Nanny and living in Connecticut was... an experience. I learned a lot about life and especially about myself. Before leaving, Bonnie and I were able to visit our friends in Philadelphia one last time. I always enjoy seeing them, and this time we went to Amish country! Intercourse, PA to be exact. Here are the very few pictures I managed to snag while we were there.
Chinatown. Bonnie and I got a little bit lost when we first got off the bus and we ended up here.
After walking for awhile, we ended up at this beautiful building, but I forget the name of it..
An Amish farm on our way to Intercourse.
A glimpse of an Amish buggy turning a corner.
This was taken at a shopping area in Intercourse. Lots of small shops with Amish made everything!

30 Days Hath September...
.. And every one of them have felt as if they were never going to end. I don't know why, but this month has seemed especially long for me. I am glad that its over and we can all move on to October! I'm so excited for all the holidays coming up! Having little kids around, like my adorable nieces and nephews, make the holidays so much more fun!! And in honor of said nieces and nephews I've decided to share some recent photos of them I took on my last trip home. So cute!!

A Taste of What is to Come..
Autumn in Connecticut
In the other gardens
And all up the vale,
From the autumn bonfires
See the smoke trail!
Pleasant summer over
And all the summer flowers,
The red fire blazes,
The grey smoke towers.
Sing a song of seasons!
Something bright in all!
Flowers in the summer,
Fires in the fall!

Home is Home. Be it Ever so Humble.
Last week I was able to go back to Utah to visit my family. It was great! I spent the whole week relaxing and just spending time with my family. I have missed them so much since I've been in Connecticut. I just have to say.. I have the cutest niece and nephews! They've all grown so much, I can't believe it. I didn't take very many pictures, so I don't have any pictures from Utah to post. However I do have a couple pictures from the last time I went into the city. Enjoy!
This sandwich is a crunchy peanut butter and raspberry jam sandwich from Peanut Butter & Co. It was quite good, I have to say.
This guy made this design entirely out of colored sand. Amazing!
And this was just a random person walking around the city dressed as a bowling pin.
